VCA

The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) is an executive agency of the UK Department for Transport. It’s responsible for ensuring that vehicles, their systems, and components meet regulatory standards for safety, environmental impact, and security.

The VCA provides various services including type approval, certification, testing, and inspection of vehicles, as well as accreditation of testing facilities. In addition to its regulatory functions, the VCA also works with international partners to harmonize vehicle standards and promote global trade.
